"Working for the Working Class"
I was born in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin on December 12, 1974 the youngest of ten kids. I grew up in a small farming community of Milltown, Wisconsin. In 1984, my mother moved the family to Hibbing, MN where we lived in my Grandmother's home until 1986. In 1993, my mother and I opened Palmers Tavern in the original building my grandparents started their business in 1944. After graduating from Hibbing High School in 1993, I attended HCC for a year before transferring to UMD school of Business and Economics. Before graduating, I came back to Hibbing to run our family business. As the business continued to grow during its' first four years of establishment, I was forced to make the difficult decision of; allow my mother to sell the business or come home to run the day to day operations, I chose the latter. I never returned to college, as the demand of the business took most of my time. However, the decision to do so was very difficult; I have never really regretted not finishing my degree. I am fully aware of the importance of a college degree for today's young adults, but my circumstances were unusual.
In June of 2004, I purchased my first limousine and by May of 2005, Royalty Limousine Inc. was formed.
In 2006, I married my girlfriend of nearly 5 years Rhiannon DeLong from Chisholm, MN. Rhiannon worked in the twin cities before moving back to the Iron Range in 2003. As an employee of Wells Fargo in Hibbing, she has been promoted to Store Manager and as of late, Vice President of the bank. The strong work ethic that my wife and I have is truly accredited to the way of life in Northern Minnesota. In September of 2007, we were blessed with the birth of our son, Leighton Storm Larson.
My only sibling living in Hibbing is my sister Sandra. She, her Husband Bob, and their son Austin have made Hibbing their home. Her oldest son Michael is an engineer in South Carolina and their daughter Brooke is a college student in Minneapolis. I have a brother Dan who lives in Northfield with his wife Brenda and their two daughters Mariah and Madeline. My sister Cheryl lives in Plymouth with her husband Dave. They have two sons Ryan and Bob whom are grown and reside in Minnesota as well. My sister Beth and her husband Alan live in Red Wing with their two children, Carly and Daniel. My oldest sister Terry lives outside Dallas, TX with her husband Mark. Their four children Brian, Tim, Jeff and Brenda all live in the Dallas area. My sister Judy lives in Milltown, WI with her husband Rex. Their oldest son Lance graduated last year; their two daughters; Judi and Amanda live at home and attend high school in Wisconsin. My sister Connie and her husband Paul are expecting their first child in August, they live in LaPointe, WI. Connie's children; Heather lives in the Cities, Zach is in the Armed Forces and Libby is in High School. My sister Liz and her 7-year-old son Branden live in St. Croix Falls, WI. My sister Patty and her husband Dennis live in Luck, WI. They have no children but two large golden retrievers.
