My Goals
I have established a significant number of issues that I feel are very important to not only members of the district, but to all citizens of Minnesota. I have chosen to fight for the working class; our children and our seniors by establishing eight main issues that I feel will have a direct impact to every one of us. These issues are fundamental to our way of life, whether it be from direct tax reductions for individuals to safer communities to live and raise our children in.
1. Establish a Working-Class Fuel Credit
Ø Up to $100.00 per family
Ø Receive a rebate for daily commute
2. State-Run Video Slot Machines in Bars/Restaurants view proposal
Ø $190 million in new revenue without raising taxes
Ø Mandatory guidelines for spending revenues
3. Stricter laws against Criminal Sexual Conduct view proposal
Ø Mandatory prison sentences and lifetime supervision
Ø Keeping our children and our communities safe
4. Additional City Police Officers to curb crime
Ø $12 million per year in additional funding for police officers
5. Strengthen K-12 Education guidelines
Ø $36 million per year in additional funding
Ø Keeps property taxes low
6. Eliminate the State Sales Tax on utilities view proposal
Ø Savings of nearly $150 per family per year
Ø Stimulates the local economy
7. Introduce a sales tax cap on used vehicles view proposal
Ø An average savings of more than $1500 per vehicle
Ø Stimulates Minnesota’s economy
8. Bring back fiscal responsibility to State Government
