Dear Friends,
It is with great enthusiasm that I announce my candidacy for State Representative district 5B. This decision is one I’ve considered carefully, and with great reflection. I believe now is the time to stand and fight for change in Minnesota. Today, I ask for your support.
I was taught the importance of being an active citizen. I was always told that when you saw something wrong, you couldn’t just stand on the sidelines and watch. All of us have an obligation to stand up and do something about it.
We need change in this district and this state, and we need it now. Together, we can spark this change. Now was not the time to increase gas tax, license tab fees and build new DOT buildings. We expect fiscal responsibility from our representatives and right now, they are not doing this.
I will fight to keep our streets safe from crime by dedicating nearly $12 million annually for law enforcement. I will fight to strengthen K-12 education by adding over $35 million annually to its' funding. I will propose legislation to eliminate the state sales tax on utilities, and provide a fuel credit for the working class. My goals are issues important to economic growth and will provide an immediate boost to stimulate our way of life.
I now extend the challenge for you to make a difference, “Vote Larson”.
